It’s The Final Lap for the 2020 Census Count

MT. VERNON — Local officials are continuing to urge residents who have not filled out the census to do so as soon as possible. For Mt. Vernon residents, the $10 incentive is still available for those who fill out their census online.

The city’s census liaison Lori Ulrich says the county is still well short compared to the census count 10 years ago.

Ulrich encourages residents to open the door for census takers that will start coming out next week, or filling out the census online is still available.

She also says if you come to the Backpack Block Party this Saturday at Veteran’s Park, local leaders will have tablets available for residents to take the census online there. She also says you can get your $10 incentive for taking the census while at the event.

The deadline to take this year’s census has recently been moved up from October 31st to September 30th.
