MARION COUNTY — A 37-year-old Centralia man is facing two felony charges following his arrest over the weekend stemming from a pursuit with Wamac police.

Pierre Wilmington was charged Monday morning in Marion County Court with Class 3 felony being a felon in possession of a firearm and Class 4 aggravated fleeing police.

Wilmington allegedly took Wamac police on a pursuit early Saturday morning through the Centralia and Wamac area.

He was ultimately taken into custody for alleged armed habitual criminal, aggravated fleeing, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and unlawful use of a weapon.

A passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Kenneth Dalton, Jr., of Centralia, was arrested for alleged armed habitual criminal and illegal possession of ammunition.

Dalton has not yet been charged in court.
