ELDORADO — After a successful summer school program in Eldorado, school district staff are confident in their abilities to bring back students this fall if allowed to do so.

Eldorado Schools Superintendent Ryan Hobbs says about 90 students took part in the district’s summer school program that just wrapped up recently.

While Hobbs says getting about 1,000 students back to class is going to be more challenging that just under 100, having the summer school program gives the staff at all levels more confidence in what they will be doing this fall.

Parents in Eldorado can choose between sending their students back to school for a full day of classes each day or remote learning. He says remote learning this fall will be different from the spring as it will include face-to-face interaction with their teachers.

The first day of school for kids in Eldorado is scheduled for August 14th.
