CENTRALIA, IL — The arrest of a 23-year-old Centralia man over the weekend in connection with a reported robbery of the Farm Fresh Store on South Poplar Street included a charge of armed robbery stemming from the June 30th armed robbery of the Huck’s Convenience Store on East Calumet.
According to Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson, Johnny Lee Skurat was already in the Marion County Jail for the July 8 incident at Farm Fresh when he was additionally charged with the armed robbery at Huck’s. Skurat remains in the Marion County Jail with bail set at $2,500 on the Farm Fresh burglary case.
He was free at the time of his arrest on a $2,500 recognizance bond in a separate theft case stemming from an alleged incident in June at the Casey’s General Store in Wamac.
