HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg City Council will look to establish a new business district in the city Thursday night at their scheduled meeting.

Two public hearings will be held before the meeting at 6 p.m. A public hearing will be held with Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning regarding a Community Development Block Grant at 5:20 p.m. and then a hearing regarding the business district will be held at 5:30.

In other city business, the city will discuss and possibly act on accepting a bid for a skid steer for the water and sewer department and purchasing a 2009 Ford 550 Bucket Truck for the street department.

The meeting will be held at Harrisburg City Hall.
