SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — The Illinois Secretary of State’s Office is extending the expiration dates for drivers’ licenses, ID cards, and license plates stickers another month past the last extension date. All licenses, IDs and stickers are now valid until November 1st.

Henry Haupt with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office says given social distancing guidelines and the summer heat, people should not feel pressure to get to a drivers’ services facility right away.

Haupt encourages residents who can get their business with the office done online to do so at cyberdriveillinois.com.
