SEMI OVERTURNS SPILLING PIPES ON NB I-57 IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL — A semi driver is recovering after he was involved in a single-vehicle crash around 6:45 this morning on northbound I-57 in Williamson County.

According to Illinois State Police, 48-year-old David D. Hahn of Mt. Olive, Illinois was going north in his semi on I-57 at milepost 53 in Marion when for an unknown reason he left the roadway to the right, over-corrected and overturned in the northbound lanes of traffic.

Hahn was hauling steel pipes when the crash happened. They were scattered across the northbound lanes on I-57.

Hahn was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No further information is available at this time.
