SALINE COUNTY — An Eldorado man has pleaded guilty in connection to a New Year’s Eve fire at Walmart in Harrisburg.

36-year-old James S. Curtis entered the plea in Saline County Court Wednesday.

He plead guilty to charges of arson, reckless conduct, and three counts of criminal damage to property more than $100,000.

The Harrisburg Walmart was closed temporarily following the New Years’ Eve Fire. No injuries were reported.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the fire, along with the Harrisburg Fire and Police Departments.

Curtis is scheduled to be sentenced at 10 a.m. on September 2nd.
