HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg School Board approved the purchase of 600 chromebooks and access to a new online math curriculum at Tuesday night’s meeting.

The money comes from the Cares Act, or the first COVID-19 relief package passed by the federal government.

Harrisburg Superintendent Mike Gauch says these actions will allow the district to expand online coursework if necessary.

Board members also approved a contract with Pepsi allowing the purchase of electronic signage for East Side School and Harrisburg Middle School.

The board will meet again Tuesday, July 21 at 6 p.m. in the media center at Harrisburg Middle School.
