MT. VERNON, IL — Bail was set at $100,000 Wednesday in Jefferson County Court for a 57-year-old Belle Rive man charged with delivery of methamphetamine.

Bradley Gammon was charged with the Class X felony in connection with 65 grams of meth reportedly discovered by Mt. Vernon police Monday after they stopped him in the area of 44th and Broadway.

At the time of his Monday arrest, Gammon was on parole stemming from a 2017 conviction in Wayne County for possession of meth. Gammon also has a history of felony drug convictions dating back to the 80s. He was stopped Monday when a Mt. Vernon police officer witnessed him driving and knew Gammon’s driver’s license was revoked. He was last convicted of driving while license revoked in 2003 and was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Gammon is next scheduled to appear in court July 1 for a preliminary hearing and first appearance with his court appointed attorney.
