HARRISBURG — As of today, Southeastern Illinois College has reopened to key functional work areas of the college. While no students or public members will be allowed on the Harrisburg campus or the David L. Stanley White County Center in Carmi for the next three weeks, things are slowly returning to normal at SIC, and college staff is preparing a planned, phased reopening for the fall.
SIC President Dr. Jonah Rice explains what key functional areas are returning to work for the college.
The college will shift most operations online after Thanksgiving this fall. Rice says since many people travel for the holiday, they are acting out of an abundance of caution given there will only be two weeks left in the semester.
The first day of classes at SIC is scheduled for August 17th.
