MT. VERNON, IL — The city of Mt. Vernon, in coordination with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), is alerting motorists traveling on Broadway (Illinois 15) between S. 22nd Street and S. 15th Street of upcoming lane restrictions.
The lane restrictions will be in place beginning at 7am Tuesday, May 26th, at and ending July 3rd.
This will allow the city’s contractor to remove the old paint from the Casey Middle School pedestrian overpass and repaint the metal portions of the bridge. The project will also include work to the staircase sections of the bridge.
