SPRINGFIELD, IL — Modifications are coming to the phase three reopening of the Illinois economy. Governor JB Pritzker announced Wednesday that some restaurants and bars won’t have to wait until the end of June to begin serving. The option to reopen comes with a catch though, the seating and serving needs to be outside.
The possible changes cities or municipalities might need to take include closing streets to allow serving outside in those areas. IDPH will be providing guidance to establishments on how to best protect health while serving food and drinks.
The Governor also expanded access to golf, boating and state parks.
