MT. VERNON, IL — The milestone of graduating high school typically commences with a ceremony at the conclusion of the school year. 2020 has been less than typical since the invasive coronavirus rocked the world in which we all live.

Superintendent of Mt. Vernon Township High School, Jeff Fritchnitch says on this National Teacher Day that he’s proud of faculty, staff and students for their ability to adapt to, as well as overcome these tough obstacles.

MVTHS strategically placed their graduation ceremony on June 6th in hopes the COVID-19 restrictions would be lessened come that time. That ceremony, as of now, is for students-only but will be live streamed on wmix94.com/graduation.
