HARRISBURG — Harrisburg Mayor John McPeek has called for a special meeting of the city council for Tuesday, April 28 at 8 a.m. at Harrisburg City Hall. The council will be discussing phase one of possible re-opening of the city.

McPeek tells our sister station WEBQ while he is not looking to make any decision that could hurt the health or safety of residents, he also knows that there are businesses that may not last much longer without re-opening.

McPeek says the meeting will be open to the public, but only 10 people will be allowed in the council chambers. A secondary room will be set up for people to watch the meeting for additional people who attend.
