HAMILTON COUNTY — The Hamilton County Board approved two ordinances regarding the construction of a solar energy farm in the county at Tuesday night’s meeting.
Board members unanimously approved the ordinance for the installation of the farm and the application request for a solar farm construction permit. The board also approved a secondary ordinance establishing procedures governing the public comment period and public hearing of a solar farm siting application made pursuant to the aforementioned installation ordinance.
The approval of the solar farm has been tabled for a couple months as final details were worked out for the project.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the board approved the purchase of a new Chevy Tahoe for the Sheriff’s Department from Teffertiller Motors. They also gave the green light for the construction of a new bridge in Dahlgren Township on 200E Road over Big Creek, about 1.5 miles southeast of Dahlgren.
The board will meet again on Tuesday, May 19th at 6 p.m.
