Linda Koehler Spell, 73, of Dix, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, at her home.
She was born October 13, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Haut) Koehler. She was a member of the VFW, Elks, Senior Circle, and the Bluford Ruritan Club, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed line dancing and bingo, gardening, and flowers. She loved her Family, Christmas, and her cats and dogs.
Linda is survived by two sons, Jeff Wiggins and partner Tammy Tackitt of Mt. Vernon, and Randy Spell and wife Andrea of Bluford; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Shepler of Dix, Chris and Mike Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Aryn Wiggins of Mt. Vernon, Brittany, Jackie, and Carey Spell of Wayne City, Jaidyn and Kamron Finney of Bluford, and Kasen Poston of Bluford; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Magnuson and husband Robert of Algonquin, and Char Rosa and husband Vic of Bonnie; a niece, Jennifer Rosa; and a nephew, Matt Rosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Marvin Spell, Jr.; and one brother, Edward Koehler.
A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, with Rev. David Mishler officiating. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
