CENTRALIA, IL — Teachers from St. Mary Grade School in Centralia gathered in the parking lot to cheer on a parade of students riding through on Wednesday evening.

Every grade was represented by their specific teacher as well as the school’s Principal Nic Antoine who got in on the fun of waving and cheering for the students these educators have missed so much.

More than 7 car loads of kids and their parents cruised up the alley behind the school lined with signs created by the teachers, while the kids showed off some signs of their own.

And yes, everyone adhered to social distancing guidelines.

(^Students and parents social distancing across the street after the parade. No doubt sharing quarantine stories)
