SPRINGFIELD, IL (RFD) — More COVID-19 tests. That’s what the Governor says is necessary to get an accurate determination of the spread of the virus in the state. Just how many more? 10,000 a day is what JB Pritzker says is needed and that will require the state to scale up from the 4,000 a day it’s running right now.
Pritzker also says it’s time for the federal government and FDA to loosen rules to allow more than 250 tests to be conducted at specific testing sites. Pritzker says a removal of that limit could double the tests that could be run each day.
