CENTRALIA — Centralia police continue to seek a 19-year-old Centralia man in connection with a double shooting Friday afternoon at an apartment in the 1700 block of West McCord. According to Police Chief Greg Dodson, officers are seeking Dalton Garrison in connection with the shooting that was called in around 3:17 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses told dispatch that the suspects left the scene in a White Mercury SUV. Officers arrived on scene and found evidence of a shooting but the victims had already transported themselves to the hospital.

A 29-year-old male from Centralia had been shot twice and a 30-year-old Peoria man had a single gunshot wound. Both subjects are reportedly in stable condition and were transported to St Louis Hospitals for treatment.

Through victim and witness statements, as well as other sources, Garrison was identified as one of the two suspects in the shooting. Dodson expects to release the identity of the second suspect by today (Monday).

Anyone with information as to Garrison’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Centralia Police Department immediately. You’re urged to not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.
