CARBONDALE, IL — Carbondale Police say an arrest warrant has been obtained for a West Frankfort man as a result of the investigation into an early Saturday morning shooting.

Police say the warrant charges 24-year-old Jordan Kelderman with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Kelderman is considered armed and dangerous. If you see Kelderman, don’t approach him. Call your local law enforcement agency.

Police responded to the 1000 block of East Park Street in Carbondale at 3:40 a.m. in reference to shots fired and a reported gunshot victim.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned there was a dispute between acquaintances outside of a party. During the dispute, the victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Detectives working the investigation identified Kelderman as a suspect in this case and obtained a Jackson County arrest warrant.
