CENTRALIA LAKE, IL — A 20-year-old Salem man remains in the Marion County Jail following his Sunday morning arrest at a home near Lake Centralia where a resident held him at gunpoint when he was discovered allegedly breaking into the home.

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home where they arrested Jordan Rinehart on charges of criminal trespass to property, criminal damage to property and illegal consumption of liquor by a minor.

Reports say that just before 3 a.m., Rinehart broke out the glass of the home’s front door to gain access inside.

A resident of the home reportedly discovered Rinehart and held him at gunpoint while another resident called the sheriff’s office.
