MARION COUNTY — Bail has been set at $1 million for a 23-year-old Salem man accused of stabbing a Centralia man during a Christmas Eve robbery.

Justin Landreth was taken back into Friday in connection with the stabbing and robbery of 24-year-old Kody Biegelesen, of Central City, during an incident at the Point on Raccoon Lake.

Landreth was initially arrested Wednesday by Centralia police on charges of armed robbery and aggravated battery but was released from jail pending further investigation.

A warrant was then issued Friday morning for Landreth on a charge of armed robbery and setting bail at $1 million.

According to police, Biegeleisen was stabbed four times during an alleged armed robbery.

Biegeleisen was also arrested for felony disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false police report about the stabbing incident.

He reportedly told Centralia police he was stabbed during an attempted carjacking at McCord and East Broadway in Centralia.

However, after a two-month investigation police found the incident occurred during what they believe to be a sex or sex-related transaction for money or drugs.

Landreth is expected to appear in court Monday to be advised of the charges against him. Biegeleisen is free after being given a notice to appear in court.
