WILLIAMSON COUNTY — A Charleston, Illinois man was sentenced Monday in Williamson County Court to four years in state prison after pleading guilty to burglary – a Class 2 felony.
Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says 32-year-old Tyler B. Wehr will also serve two years of mandatory supervised release following his release from prison. Wehr has a prior burglary conviction out of Coles County.
Zanotti says on Oct. 7 of last year, a Marion Police officer responded to an activated security alarm at a business on West Enterprise Way. The officer found the suspect, later identified as Wehr, fleeing the location. The investigation revealed that Wehr had broken into a doctor’s office on West Enterprise Way and was attempting to break into another business at that strip mall.
