CARMI — A Carmi man is facing several charges after being arrested Wednesday afternoon in the alley behind 600 8th Street in Carmi.
According to Carmi Police, 18-year-old Brett A. Hansman has been charged with reckless driving, three counts of aggravated battery on law enforcement officers, resisiting arrest, disorderly conduct and illegal possession of cannabis in a vehicle. One officer was taken by private vehicle to Deaconess Hospital where he was treated and released.
Hansman was taken to Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro by the White County Sheriff’s Office where he was treated and released back into the custody of the sheriff’s office.
