MT. VERNON — Mt. Vernon Township High School officials are looking to make use of at least one of the old buildings at their former campus. The school is partnering with Regional Office of Education #13 and other area partners to create what they are calling the “Invictis Academy”, an educational center for at-risk youth in the area.

MVTHS Superintendent Jeff Fritchtnitch says there will be many features in the upgraded H-building that will make the learning environment as comfortable as possible.

Fritchtnitch hopes improvements will be complete and students will be moved in by February 1st.
