SALEM — Salem Police Chief Sean Reynolds has announced that members of his department have raised $640 during its No-Shave November campaign.

According to Reynolds, officers and staff paid into the campaign to be allowed to grow facial hair during November. Some officers and staff contributed additional funds to be able to continue wearing their facial hair in December.

On Friday the department proudly donated the collected money to the non-profit organization that supports families affected by childhood cancer.

Danielle Smith accepted the $640 donation on behalf of Leaps of Love. If you would like to learn more about Leaps of Love or make a donation, you can go online to leaps of love.org.
