PERRY COUNTY — IDOT says US 51 south of Tamaroa will be closed between Illinois 154 and Kimzey Road starting Friday so a drainage structure can be replaced, weather permitting.

The road is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday. You should seek an alternate route. Message boards and signs will be in place to alert traffic of the closure.

The road will close at 6 p.m. Friday.
