MT. VERNON — On Wednesday, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to WMIX / WDML News:

25-year-old Derek Kirgan of Centralia was arrested by Mt. Vernon Police Tuesday for possession of meth less than five grams, possession of a hypodermic syringe / needle / etc., and resisting / obstructing a peace officer.

49-year-old Earl Jones of Woodlawn was arrested Tuesday for aggravated meth delivery near a school less than five grams and meth delivery less than five grams.

25-year-old Brandon Taylor of Mt. Vernon was arrested by Mt. Vernon Police for aggravated fleeing 2+ control devices, possession of meth less than five grams and on a bond forfeiture warrant.

25-year-old Dylan Edmison of Opdyke was arrested Tuesday for meth delivery less than five grams.

22-year-old Devondalea Scott of Mt. Vernon was arrested Tuesday for retail theft less than $300.

35-year-old Brandy Barns of Champaign was arrested Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a bond forfeiture warrant.

31-year-old John Nelligan of Champaign was arrested Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic syringe / needle / etc., and possession of drug paraphernalia.

31-year-old Corey VanAvery of Mt. Vernon was arrested by Mt. Vernon Police Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant.

21-year-old David Hubler of Mt. Vernon was arrested by Mt. Vernon Police Wednesday for domestic battery.

40-year-old Matthew Howard of Centralia was arrested Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant.

46-year-old Robert Carrano of Mt. Vernon was arrested by Mt. Vernon Police Wednesday for DUI-alcohol, driving while license suspended, and DUI while license suspended or revoked.
