MT. VERNON — A 44-year-old Franklin, Tennessee man was arrested over the weekend by Mt. Vernon police after he allegedly locked a female employee of the Double Tree Inn on Potomac Boulevard in his hotel room with him.
Thomas Harmon was arrested Saturday after Mt. Vernon police officers responded to a complaint from the front desk clerk at the hotel saying Harmon had made a sexual proposition to one of the housekeeping staff and had locked a member of the housekeeping staff in his room with him. The woman was ultimately able to get out of the room.
Officers took Harmon into custody and he was charged Monday in Jefferson County Court with solicitation of a sexual act, battery, and disorderly conduct – all misdemeanor offenses. His bail was set at $3,500 and he was ordered to not go on the premises of the Double Tree Hotel in Mt. Vernon.
He’s scheduled for a December 3, arraignment on the charges.
