CARBONDALE — Carbondale Police say another arrest has been made in connection with the deadly shooting of 21-year-old Keon Cooper earlier this month.
Police say 30-year-old Thomas Durell Evans Jr. of Cape Girardeu, Missouri, was arrested by Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday on a Jackson County warrant for charges of concealing or aiding a fugitive related to Cooper’s death.
Evans is currently lodged in the Cape Girardeau County, Missouri Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois.
Sikeston, Missouri Police arrested 21-year-old Tyren Johnson of Sikeston in this case last week. He was wanted on Jackson County, Illinois warrant for murder charges related to Cooper’s death. He was taken to the Scott County, Missouri Jail to await extradition to Illinois.
Police are still looking for 24-year-old Olando Sheron of Sikeston. An arrest warrant has been issued for him on murder charges.
