CENTRALIA — A 39-year-old Centralia woman remains in the Marion County Jail following her arrest early Tuesday morning for allegedly throwing a brick at a Centralia police officer.

Jaicie Bastian was reportedly outside a home in the 500 block of East 12th Street early Tuesday morning when offers responded to that address for a reported domestic disturbance.

Bastian was allegedly trying to slash the tires on her boyfriend’s vehicle and he was attempting to stop her.

Bastian then allegedly threw a brick at a responding officer after they arrived on the scene.

She was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail where she awaits the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail.
