SALEM — A 26-year-old Mt. Vernon man was arrested Saturday by Salem police for allegedly stealing a donation jar from a convenience store on West Main Street in Salem.

Cole A. Swan posted bond and was released from the Marion County Jail after he was arrested for alleged theft under $500.

According to Salem police, just before 5 p.m. Saturday, Swan was captured on security video apparently taking a donation jar that was almost full from the Circle K store in Salem.
