WHITE COUNTY — A Grayville man was sentenced Wednesday morning in White County Court to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for unlawful use of property – a Class 2 felony.

White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud says 31-year-old Adam S. Brown will also serve two years of mandatory supervised release after his time in prison.

Aud says Brown had previously been placed on probation. However, his probation was revoked for various violations with the new sentence entered Wednesday morning.

The Grayville Police Department was the original arresting agency. Brown was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. Judge T. Scott Webb was the presiding judge.
