Bail remains to be set for Travis Jackson. He was arrested Sunday after Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in Bonnie. While deputies were outside following the initial call, Jackson was reportedly walking around the yard. Around that same time a second 9-1-1 call came in from inside the same home.

Deputies ran back inside the residence and one squad car was allegedly left running and Jackson allegedly climbed inside the squad car. He allegedly spoke on the police radio but the deputies inside didn’t hear the transmission due to a passing train. It’s unclear if Jackson is responsible for a transmission reporting an officer down that was quickly cancelled as a false alarm.

When the deputies went back outside they reportedly found Jackson in the driver’s seat of the squad car. He allegedly put the car in gear and began to move the vehicle but when the deputies drew their guns he put the transmission in park and exited the car. He was then taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he remained Monday afternoon.

Jackson pleaded guilty in 2016 to Class 3 felony intimidation, which was reduced from Class 2 felony aggravated intimidation of a peace officer. In 2017 he was convicted of misdemeanor resisting a peace officer.
