WOODLAWN — Most school districts are looking at ways to integrate technology into the classroom. Woodlawn Schools are no different, and superintendent Eric Helbig says the results so far have been positive.

Helbig says each building still has two computer labs, but the district is doing what it can to bring that same technology to each classroom.

Helbig says while they are still adjusting to tech in the classroom, the district is already getting a positive response.

In addition to Chromebooks in the classroom, Helbig says the grade school is in the process of building a greenhouse for STEM related activities for younger students. He says that project is being funded from a grant from Monsanto, and the behind the scenes work to put the greenhouse together is almost complete.
