CENTRALIA — A 36-year-old Centralia woman has been charged in Clinton County court with aggravated battery to a peace officer after she allegedly stomped on an officer’s foot and attempted to defecate on the officer while being arrested.

According to police reports, Centralia police were attempting to take Rebekah Rohde into custody on an outstanding Marion County warrant.

Officers were responding to a call from the Best Western Motel reporting Rhode had left behind a box of documents in a room that included pieces of mail and cash in another person’s name.

Police stopped Rohde and a male walking down Jolliff Bridge Road but the two denied any knowledge of the items left in the hotel room.

As Rohde was being taken into custody on the warrant, however, she reportedly became combative and jumped up on down on an arresting officer’s foot. She then later allegedly attempted to defecate on the same officer.

She was taken to the Clinton County Jail and was formally charged in court Tuesday with Class 2 felony aggravated battery of a peace officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Police continue to search for the person whose name appeared and the documents found in the hotel room. They say more than $1,000 in cash was found along with the documents.
