FRANKLIN COUNTY — A Sesser man has been charged in connection with an ATV accident that happened Saturday afternoon in Franklin County.

According to Franklin County Sheriff David Bartoni, deputies responded to the scene of an ATV crash on Quiet Acres Road in rural Sesser at 5 p.m. The on-scene investigation showed that 41-year-old Travis Todd was driving the ATV south on Quiet Acres Road when he ran off the road, overcorrected, lost control and overturned on the roadway. Todd and his passenger, 35-year-old Brandi Perez of Murphysboro, were ejected from the vehicle.

Todd was airlifted from the scene to an out of state hospital. Perez was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. She was later airlifted to an out of state hospital.

Todd was charged with DUI and Careless Operation of an ATV.
