FRANKLIN COUNTY — A Valier man has been arrested for indecent solicitation of a child – a Class 1 felony.

Franklin County Sheriff David Bartoni says detective arrested 44-year-old Jamie P. Jones in Du Quoin Wednesday and brought him back to Franklin County. Jones is currently being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.

The sheriff says assistance with this investigation was provided by the Franklin Williamson County Child Advocacy Center, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and the Du Quoin Police Department.
