WILLIAMSON COUNTY — A Melbourne, Florida man pleaded guilty to forgery – a Class 3 felony – in Williamson County Court Wednesday and was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says in September 2017, 37-year-old Nicholas A. Jones wrote a false check to Casey’s General Store on Main Street in Marion from a fraudulent account.
Zanotti says Jones has prior forgery and bad check convictions out of Jackson County. He will serve one year of mandatory supervised release following his release from prison.
