CARBONDALE — Carbondale Police need your help identifying a suspect in a battery investigation that is currently under investigation.

Police say around 12:30 a.m. on June 29, officers responded to the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue in reference to a report of a battery. Officers arrived and located two victims who reported being battered by unknown suspects while they were walking on the sidewalk in the area.

One suspect was described as a black male wearing a yellow and black jacket. Both victims were transported to the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale by ambulance where they were treated and released.
