MCLEANSBORO — The City of McLeansboro will hold a public hearing next month to determine whether an adult-use cannabis business or businesses may be established in the city through a local ordinance.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. at the Union Hall on West Market Street.

Adults over 21 will be able to purchase cannabis legally for recreational use from licensed dispensaries across Illinois starting Jan. 1.
