MT. VERNON — A 44-year-old Centralia man is in the Jefferson County Jail following his arrest Wednesday morning by Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on firearms and domestic violence related charges.

Robert L. Thomas was arrested on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a felon in possession of a shot gun under 17 inches.

Deputies responded around 7:35 a.m. Wednesday to a home at 21466 North Tank Lane in Centralia for a domestic violence investigation.

The investigation reportedly led to the discovery of the firearms. He was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail with bail to be set by a judge on the felony charges.
