VIENNA — A bridge project is set to begin on Monday, July 1 on U.S. 45 just south of Illinois 146 in Vienna, weather permitting.

According to IDOT, the project will consist of the removal and replacement of the existing structure carrying U.S. 45 over the Little Cache Creek.

Stage construction will be utilized for the project, reducing traffic to one lane controlled by temporary traffic signals and a lane width restriction of 12’4″.

You should use extreme caution through the work zone and be aware of speed reductions, width restrictions and traffic control devices.
