CENTRALIA — A 48-year-old Centralia man is being held in the Marion County Jail after he was arrested over the weekend for reportedly pouring gasoline in front of a downtown Centralia business.
Centralia police arrested Cobart Parker for alleged disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Reports say police approached Parker in the 100 block of South Locust Street while he was allegedly pouring out the gasoline.
He reportedly fled on foot and when captured a block away refused to put down the gas can.
Police ultimately transported Parker to the Centralia Police Department, where he allegedly attempted to get out of a holding cell. He was then taken to the Marion County Jail, where he remains.
