MT. VERNON — Craft brewers and beer aficionado’s unite. The first annual Mt. Vernon Home-brewers Festival is coming to town this Saturday. Co-Coordinator Doug Boczek says the event will feature nearly 20 home-brewers serving more than 60 different beers.

There will be food  from Joe’s Pizza, The Frosty Mug, as well as Guero’s Mexican Restaurant; and live entertainment provided by DNA Acoustic along with Eastwood & Launay, throughout the entirety of the event.

Jason Hulbert, President of the Mt. Vernon Festivals INC. says they haven’t forgotten about those saddled with being the designated driver.

Mt. Vernon Festivals INC. Board Member, Carl Bundy is also a home-brewer. He says the event features fun even for those who don’t necessarily enjoy craft beer.

A $15 general admission ticket includes all beer samples and a commemorative tasting glass. The event runs from 12-5pm at South 9th & Casey in downtown Mt. Vernon.
