Randy Lynn Marlowe, 61, of Mount Vernon, Illinois took his last ride at 12:29 A.M.May 23, 2019 in Mount Vernon. He was born October 19, 1957 in Mount Vernon to the late Herman Roy and Ruby Irene (Meadows) Marlowe. He married H. Marie Davison on September 10, 1982 in Mount Vernon. She preceded him in death on December 21, 1996.
Randy is survived by his significant other and love of his life, Tracie Moore of Mount Vernon; children, Leslie Fisher and husband, Chris of Bluford, J.W. Marlowe and special friend, Greg of Saint Louis, Missouri, Jake Marlowe of Mount Vernon, Randi Rosa and husband, Matt of Mount Vernon, Nia Keen of Mount Vernon, and David Moore of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren, Alexandra, Carson, Austin, Carter, Matthew, Nicholas, Eli, Kesnie, and Hazelyn; siblings, Wayne Marlowe, Sandra Pace and husband, Bill, Donna Brumley and husband, Loren, Karla Carter and husband, Chuck, Russell Marlowe, Chris “Bo” Marlowe, Robin Marlowe, Kathy Marlowe, and Timmy Marlowe; brother-in-law, Frank Davison; sister-in-law, Tressie Downes; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Marlowe; stepfather, Georgie “Pop” Meadows;infant daughter, Heather Nicole Marlowe; nephew, Justin Marlowe; niece, Crystal Burton; and aunt and uncle, Laura and Alfred Duncan
Randy worked in the maintenance department of White Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mount Vernon. He had a passion for motorcycles and was an avid biker and former member of ABATE of Illinois. He loved his “fur babies”, but most of all he adored his children, grandchildren, and the love of his life, Tracie. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Smith Cemetery in rural Jefferson County, Illinois with Pastor Dan Harriman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial’s may be made to Hughey Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
