CARBONDALE — Police in Carbondale have released the name of the woman who was found dead after being trapped in a mechanical device in the 800 block of West Mill Street early Friday morning.

Police say the woman is 37-year-old Kristin Duncan of Murphysboro.

Around 1:50 Friday morning, police responded to the 800 block of West Mill Street in reference to a subject trapped in a mechanical device. Officers found Duncan dead in the device.

Police say there is no additional information at this time. The investigation continues.
