ILLINOIS — Lane closures set to take place next week on I-57 and I-64 in southern Illinois.

According to IDOT, a lane closure is set for northbound and southbound lanes of I-57, near milepost 65 to 64 in West Frankfort, on Monday, May 13 from 6 to 11 a.m. This is necessary so maintenance crews can conduct pavement testing in this area.

Then on Tuesday, May 14, a lane closure will happen in the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-64, from milepost 73 to 62, in Mt. Vernon as maintenance crews will be conducting pavement testing from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This will extend through Wednesday, May 15.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the construction site as quickly as possible.
