ILLINOIS (RFD) — In response to an accident involving anhydrous ammonia this spring, the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association is offering a few reminders. If there is a release, the first thing that must be done is reporting the situation to emergency responders says the association’s Jean Payne.

Late last month a mishap forced residents in Farina to be evacuated from their homes and IL-Route 37 was closed for a few hours, after a small leak developed from a crash that saw some tanks overturn.
